Disruptive Technologies Poised To Breakout In 2011

2011 is shaping up to be a big year of continued technology adoption for small businesses. From advertising to operations, technology and the internet are transforming small business in every corner of the globe. Mashable makes 5 predictions for small businesses in 2011 which include; increased spending on websites, social shopping, social media and cloud computing.

Small businesses are predicted to increase online marketing spending, with websites taking the front seat, according to a recent survey. The survey found that 54% of respondents indicated that their businesses currently have websites. Unfortunately, most of those websites contain nothing more than general information, and less than half of them incorporate customer service features.

With so much hype around online services, online advertising and social media, it is easy to overlook the company website which remains a nexus point of activity for your business and a vital component in the digital mix.
